The Kingfisher Swimsuit Special Calendar for 2008 focuses primarily on the exotic and unexplored destinations of India. Right from the snow-capped ranges of Ladakh to the sultry beaches of Andaman-Nicobar Islands, this calendar is all about untouched beauty of magnificent India. What makes it steaming are the seven gorgeous ladies who have been photographed aesthetically by the renowned photographer Atul Kasbekar.The calendar has been shot in many different locales of India, practically unexplored by Indians themselves.
These include the Shey Palace, Spituk Bridge, Nubra Valley and Ranbirpura at the Chang La Lake at Ladakh; Kingfisher Villa & the Calizz Museum of Goa; Shiv Niwas Palace and the City Palace in Udaipur and Havelock Island and Elephant Island in the striking islands of the Andaman. The locales have been picked up from India mainly to let people know that the breathtaking beauty of India is at par with exotic foreign locales. The seven stunning models adding style and oomph to the calendar are Deepti Gujral, Sheetal Menon, Monikangana Dutta, Shruti Agarwal, Preeti Desai, Melissa Mehra and Tamara Moss. The models were given a combination of natural as well as glamorous look by make-up artists for the photo-shoot.
The swim wear that they have been sporting for the photographs is by La Perla from their special “India inspired collection”, while the shoes are by Jimmy Choo, sunglasses are by Roberto Cavalli, watches are by Watches of Switzerland, accessories and sunglasses are by Christian Dior
